These are 4 T-shirt concepts I created for my Adobe Illustrator class. We needed to illustrate an idiom, and I chose "cat got your tongue?", because it seemed like a good visual idea and I also seem to be good at drawing cuteanimals and severedlimbs. It was my first time really drawing with Illustrator, and I liked how easy it was to reposition shapes or change colors. Even changing the thickness and shape of the linework was really easy, though I had less control over thick-thin transitions than with an actual pen.
Or maybe you'd be more interested in a hands on approach?

You can see video of some art recycling right here, at the Chateau de Dada, an event featuring collaborative collage, creative destruction, video viewing, John Cage on VHS, and delicious cheesecake.
A little thumbnail comic, just to get me into practice.
This morning I woke up early to go over to my friend's house, where I've been keeping my bike. I'm learning how to ride and I don't know much of anything about bikes, so I've been keeping it over there where I can get help and advice.
Text of panel 6: "Oh you're up early." "Ah jeez, the cat puked all over."
I started this blog while trying to teach myself how to draw and hoping to find a professional artist to mentor under. Then I decided I needed to go to school. Now I'm about to graduate with a degree in graphic design and go on to a B.S. in fine art.
